"How Norway Was Built" has two lines leading from Skjold to Frodi the Pacific:
“Skjøld was the son of Odin Æseking. He was the father of Fridleif, the father of Fred-Frodi, the father of Fridleif, the father of Håvard the Strong, the father of Frodi, the father of Vemund the Wise, the father of Olaf the Humble, the father of Dan dem Arrogant, father of Frodi the Peaceful..."
"Her son Skjøld, her son Fridleif, her son Fred-Frodi, her son Herleif, her son Håvar the Strong, her son Frodi, her son Vemund the Wise, her daughter Olof. She was the mother of Frodi the Peaceful..."
If both are to be believed, Frode's father Dan married his father's sister, who had almost the same name as his father.

Frode succeeded his father Dan II; Born for peace, not for guns. He married Inga, daughter of the Swedish king Yngve Alrikssøn, who is the fourteenth king of the Swedish royal line, or by some calculations the seventeenth. When Frode caught up with a stag on a hunt and drove his spear through it, the stag's antlers tore through his stomach and guts as he rolled over on top of it and dropped dead; he was buried in Zeeland. With his wife Inga he had the children Fredleif and Halfdan.

Saxo tells how the Danish king Frode faced the Huns. Frode's Norwegian advisor and explorer Erik revealed that Frode's Hun queen was unfaithful to her husband. It was apparently very difficult to control. Frode rejected him, thereby incurring the wrath of the powerful Hun king, the Huns. It was known throughout the Gothic and Wendo kingdoms of Scandinavia and around the Baltic Sea that the Huns would use this pretext to conquer that part of the world as well. The Hun king was known to have spent two years preparing for the campaign.
In their fear, the kingdoms of Goten and Wendo turned to the Danes, asking them to get ahead of them all in the fateful war that was about to happen. It was well known that the Danes were great soldiers and that they were arch-enemies of the Huns of their native Asia. Also, the kings of the Danes descend directly from the gods of Asgard. Thereupon the Gothic and Vendic kings, in their greatest fear, swore undying allegiance to the King of the Danes, who might then, one might guess, call themselves 'The Goters of the Venders'.
First, the Danes and their allies defeated the enemy fleet. Saxo tells us that the enemy, the "Ruthenians" (that is, the Russians, they say), outnumbered them in bravery by unusual numbers, and the small band of loyal Danes were victorious. As King Frode's ships returned home, they encountered an unprecedented obstacle. The sea was littered with corpses and fragments of shields and spears. King Frode used scorched earth tactics against the land army of the Huns, says Saxo. Only when the Huns were weakened and divided did King Frode begin the fight against the hereditary enemy. When the battle lasted seven days, the Hun king fell and the rest of the Huns surrendered. As far as one could travel 3 days, the ground was covered with corpses.
The name "Dan-Mark" means border area of the Danes, as well as "Spanish Mark", i.e. around the year 1000 Spanish border area. That was because the total territory of the Danes was Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea area, and the territory of Denmark was just the frontier territory of the Holy Roman Empire.
